| San Marino adheres to the Proliferation Security Initiative |

| [Italica] - San Marino adheres to the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI), a global initiative that aims to stop shipments of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), and related materials worldwide. Up to now, the agreement, announced by George W. Bush on May 2003, has been endorsed by 89 countries. The goal of initiative is to prevent the proliferation of WMD through a cooperative approach. San Marino's minister of foreign affairs Fiorenzo Stolfi said in a press release that with this agreement the republic wants to confirm once more its commitment on disarmament and peace.
