| San Martino to partecipate to the EEA |

| [ Italica ] San Marino is seriously considering to partecipate to the European Economic Area (EEA) - Antonella Mularoni, minister for foreign affairs, said yesterday during a press conference. As a matter of fact, minister Mularoni had a talk with the European Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner on Friday, who showed interest in the accession of small countries such as the Republic of San Marino to the EEA. The European Economic Area, established on 1994, allows countries partecipating to the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) to join the European single market without being member of the European Union.
