| Italy: industrial production down 15.7% |
|
| [ Italica ] – Italy’s industrial production index adjusted by working days fell 15.7 per cent in September compared to a year ago, while the not adjusted index drop 15.3 per cent - the Italian National Institute of Statistics, Istat, reports. The industrial production grew only in the pharmaceutical products industry (+5.9%) and in the foodstuffs industry (+0.2%), while the sharpest contractions have been recorded in the metallurgical industry and metal products (-25.2%) and machinery and equipment production (-27.5%).
