| Italy's tax shield: more than 85 billion euros repatriated |
|
| [ Italica ] - Roughly 85.1 billion euros have been repatriated following the so-called fiscal shield, the program that allows citizens to bring back money in Italy from abroad avoiding sanctions. The repatriated capital from Switzerland is approximately 60 billion euros, while from Luxembourg and Monaco have been repatriated roughly 7.3 and 4.1 billion euros. Nearly 50 per cent of capital returned came from bank accounts. These figures come out from the reports received from the intermediaries by the Bank of Italy on February 15, 2010.
