| Italy: Inflation at 1.7% |
|
| [ Italica ] – Consumer price index rose by 1.7 per cent from November 2009. The index is up 1.6 per cent if tobacco is excluded. Istat, the Italian National Institute of Statistics, reports that the highest increases are observed in the price of tobacco and alcoholic beverages (+3.9%) and transports (+3.3%), while the price of communications is down 1.6 per cent.
