| Italy: consumer price index down 0.1 % |
|
| [ Italica ] – In July, inflation was down 0.1 per cent on a year-to-year basis, Italy's National Institute of Statistics reports. Italy's Harmonized Index of Consumer Price (HICP), too, showed a decrease on an annual basis (-0.2%). Year-to-year data recorded a 2.1 and 1.2 per cent increase in the price of alcoholic drinks and tobaccos and education, respectively. Transports price was down 2.2 per cent.
