| Italy: unemployment index at 5.7%

[ Italica ] - Italy's employment index is up 0.3 per cent in November 2025 compared to the previous year, the Italian National Institute of Statistics reports. Employment rate stands at 62.6 per cent (71.1% men; 54% women). The unemployment index stands at 5.7 per cent (5.5% men; 6.1% women); inactivity rate is at 33.5 per cent, unchanged on a year-to-year basis. [January 12, 2026 - Italica]
