| The European Union to sign agreement with the Republic of San Marino
|

| [ Italica ] - The European Council has authorised the signature and provisional application of the Association Agreement with the Republic of San Marino. Through this agreement, San Marino will participate in an extended internal market under equal conditions as the rest of the EU. San Marino will progressively access the internal market financial services depending on the successful assessment about the robustness of its regulatory and supervisory frameworks. The agreement's preliminary signature by the Member States is expected in September and includes also the Principality of Andorra. [July 22, 2026 - Italica]
